QUESTION

All resources in our organization have the feature 'View Resource' so they can access resources and assign them to tasks. But this gives all resources the right to see all other resources. Is it really required to grant 'View Resources' to all resources that need to manage task assignments?

 

ANSWER

It is not necessary to grant the feature 'View Resources' to all users. Users can manage task assignments and preferred resources without that feature.

The feature 'View Resources' should only be granted to resource-admin type of users that really have to see all resource data.

Note: adding or removing this feature will also impact reporting, please test any changes on the test system first.
