Skills update notifications are mailed from sender a@aaa.com (2014)

SYMPTOMS

Recently users have been asked to update their skills profile. This caused email notifications to be sent out and some of them had 'a@aaa.com' as the sender. Is it possible to avoid/configure that email address?


REASON

It is a defect that under specific circumstances (esp. when there is a mass update) the from-address for this email can be a@aaa.com and this is not something that can be changed by configuration.

RESOLUTION

A code fix will be provided in a future release of Changepoint.

For now, esp. when there are many skills to be updated, it might make sense to disable the corresponding email template to avoid that managers get a mail for every update (with correct or incorrect from-address).
