Meta data change for a GUI field is not taken into account

Question
Having just changed a field from disabled to enabled in system management/meta data, the field still appears as disabled in the user interface.

 


 

Answer
Meta data is cached and it might take a moment (up to a few minutes) until the change becomes active. To speed this up, the cache can also be cleared manually.

In order to clear the cache, please open the page <mychangepointURL>/flushcache.aspx

For example:  https://changepoint.mycompany.com/flushcache.aspx
A page opens showing several buttons Labeled 'flush'. Please press all of them where the cache count is higher than 0. This can be done during office hours and does not require any downtime.
