Login failed error when installing Changepoint

Symptoms
An upgrade/installation to a new version fails. In the logfiles, some of the steps report a login failed error, but most of the steps work fine, using the same sa account. The password is the correct one for sa.

Error Messages/Warnings
Login failed for user 'sa'.


Resolution
This error has been reported when the password of the sa account did not meet the server password complexity rules (that had been defined at a later point in time).

Change the sa password to a valid one and redo the installation/upgrade.
