What does "You have requested resource changes that failed" mean in My Reminders?

The link "You have requested resource changes that failed" appears in My Reminders when security features that are related to approvals are removed from a resource when the resource is still named as an approver.

For example, the reminder will appear if you remove the Time Approver feature from a resource when the resource is still named as a time approver for a resource, or is a project manager or engagement manager, and so on.

Therefore best practice is to transfer approvals before removing approval-related security features from a resource.

Note: This reminder appears only if the CPEffectiveDates scheduled job is enabled.

To clear the "You have requested resource changes that failed" reminder

  1. Click the You have requested resource changes that failed link to view the list of resources.
  2. In Changepoint Administration, reassign the security feature to the resource.
  3. In Changepoint Administration (Tools > Transfer Records), transfer the approval functions to another resource. In the Transfer Records view, filter on "approver."
  4. Remove the security feature from the resource.
  5. Run the CPEffectiveDates scheduled job.
