Why open tasks are not visible in dropdown list in personal calendar?

We have projects with open tasks and want to link them to an appointment in the calendar. But some projects do not appear in the drop down list for some resources.

 

 

Answer
Projects only appear in the drop down for appointments in the calendar if the resource has at least view access to the project.

Open tasks do not provide view access to the project unless the user books time, which assigns the user to the task and provides the user with view access to the project. Therefore the user needs to book time for the open task to be able to see it in the drop down in calendar.
