Budget service lines showing cost when the resources are removed from task assignment (CP 2010)

I have populated some task assignments into the budget allocation worksheet. Then I have deleted some task assignments from the project, so the budget allocation worksheet shows them red.

Since the budget uses 'replace past by actual', what will happen to these budget services once a fiscal period is in the past?



Once the link between budget service item and task assignment is broken (because the task assignment has been deleted), the functionality 'replace past by actuals' will no longer update the budget service item.

So if there is any planned cost or effort associated with the budget item, it should be removed manually before the end of the fiscal period. Otherwise, once the period is over, it can no longer be manually edited.
