Cognos Reports delivered via Email prompts for Session ID

QUESTION:

Customer enabled report delivery through e-mail. Even though the emails are arriving, when you click on a link in the report it takes you to a login page asking for a valid session ID.
Is it possible to configure the delivery to prompt for the Session ID? Or is it possible to deliver the HTML file within the email?


ANSWER:

We have a custom authentication provider, sending a link to the report in an email is not supported.
Users should select the option to attach the report and de-select the option to 'Include a link to the report' when scheduling reports for delivery via email.
