When is a project rolled up automatically?
A project is flagged as requiring roll up when planned, actual, or forecast information for the project is changed. After a project is flagged as requiring roll up, the following actions will trigger the roll up:
- opening the project in the project planning worksheet (PPW) or project worksheet
- overnight system updates if the project has fiscal periods (Resource demand scheduled job) or is a member of a a portfolio (Portfolio calculation job)
During the automatic roll up only Updated on field is updated and not Updated by which might lead to the confusion (i.e. person who preformed the last update was out of the office when the last automatic roll up happened).
