JavaScript error when editing prompts in Cognos Report View Schedule (CP 2017 SP1)
Symptoms
When editing a prompt value for a Cognos Report Schedule, the JavaScript error "Unable to get property 'display' of undefined or null reference" occurs. It occurs only when there are no values defined for a prompt.
Reason
This behavior is a known defect in Cognos 11.0.9. The Cognos defect is fixed as of Cognos 11.0.12.
Workaround
Click the Clear button to remove all prompt values, then click Update.
Recreate the prompt values for the Report View Schedule.
