A user defined field is not editable - where does this need to be configured so it can be editable?

Points to check:

  • Security access restrictions defined in the custom field setup
  • There can be conditional properties making the field not editable under certain conditions
  • In metadata, the field might have been set to not editable
  • It might be calculated field, these can never be edited
