User is prompted to install Silverlight when it is already installed

This issue can be related to security access configuration that blocks ActiveX execution.

1. Determine the Zone that Changepoint runs in. In the Changepoint user interface, press CTRL and then right-click and select Properties

The Properties dialog includes the Zone field, which is Internet, Local Intranet or Trusted sites.


 

2. In Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options > Security tab and click on the zone that was in the Properties dialog.


3. Click Custom level.

4. In the section for Active X controls, make sure Enabled has been selected for the following settings:

  • Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins
  • Script Activex controls marked safe for scripting

5. Close all Internet Explorer windows and try again.

6. If the message still appears, try disabling the setting: Allow ActiveX Filtering.
