Can project number be displayed instead of project description in timesheet?

Users in our environment would like to see the project number instead of project description in their time sheet. How are we able to do it?
 

Answer
There is the “alternate name” field that can be used to enter the project number.
However the timesheet will always display the project name plus the alternate name.
