Not able to send e-mails from Changepoint

Symptoms

Cannot send e-mails from Changepoint. Following error is logged in the Changepoint event log:

Error/warning messages:
Transaction failed. The server response was: Mail from CPAdmin@etc.com rejected for policy reasons.

Reason:

SMTP server is not configured:
- to accept e-mails from the designated Changepoint server, and/or
- to accept the "From" address configured in CPMail.exe.config

Resolution:

Change policy settings on the SMTP server to accept e-mails from the Changepoint server and/or from the "From" address configured in CPMail.exe.config
