Intermittent integration framework file drop issues (2014)

SYMPTOMS

A file drop is in place and has been working correctly for some time. It creates or updates opportunities. Suddenly, some updates/inserts fail with a meta data validataion error, whereas other inserts/updates work correctly. There doesn't seem to be any logic with regards to the data sent and the metadata rules whether an operation fails or succeeds.

 

RESOLUTION

The root cause of such behavior is unclear.

Restarting the data mapper and communication dispatcher services fixed the issue.
