Do we need to install and enable the Changepoint Email Notification service?

The Changepoint Email Notification Service generates emails if any notifications have been configured in Changepoint administration.

If you do not use this functionality, the service is not required.

If at least one notification is configured, even if the configured criteria are never true and no email is ever generated, then the service needs to be running. Otherwise some internal tables will keep growing and never be purged.
