Access denied error in client portal after clicking on 'new request' V2014

Symptoms

In the client portal, after clicking 'create request' an error message pops up.

Error/warning messages

Access denied.

Doing a HTML trace and enabling a notification for every script error does not reveal any further error message.

 


Reason

Changepoint had been upgraded and is now accessed through a new URL. At the same time, the old URL keeps to be mapped to the new installation.

The error occurs when the client portal is accessed through the old URL. At some point, data is also requested through the new URL and then the browser suspects a XSS (cross site scripting) security issue and aborts with an 'access denied' error.

Resolution

When logging into the client portal, access it through the new URL.

Additional Notes

The same issue might occur in other places in Changepoint, not only in the client portal.
