Reminders
- Defect fixes and occasional beta features are delivered weekly; most beta features and GA features (when ready) are delivered monthly.
- You can request that beta features be enabled in your production environment by entering a support ticket (some beta features not initially available in production, Planview will advise). Please note that any issues you find will be handled during the normal development cycle.
- Planview sends out status emails in advance of planned and non-planned releases/updates/incidents. These alerts include the date and time window of the releases/updates/incident, as well as a link to the release notes that include a list of the issues addressed in the releases/updates/incident. To subscribe to these alerts, please go to https://status.planview.com/ and click the Subscribe button.
- We typically hold a live product release webinar on the Wednesday before the production release. This webinar will be hosted by PPM Pro product management and consulting personnel, and will include time for Q&A. Click here to register for the November 17th release webinar. Also, remember you can sign up for any/all upcoming customer webinars here.
- Inner circles are offered as a way for our interested customers to collaborate with PPM Pro Product Management and each other, provide feedback on PPM Pro product capabilities, and guide new feature development. Click here for more information or to register.

---|---|---|---|
December 3 | UI Grids and Reports | 1632076087 |
New. Calculated fields, String fields, and UDF pulldown fields, can use the Display Data As options that were introduced in the October 2021 release. The range of colors that can be used with these options has also greatly expanded. We now support all of the colors in this list: https://www.w3.org/wiki/CSS/Properties/color/keywords Finally, if you enable a Display Data As option with a text field that only contains a color label from that list, the field will display the color named in the field. |
December 3 | Reports | 1593087222 | Fixed. The legend in Gantt chart reports no longer disappears when you zoom in or out of the report. |
December 3 | Permission Profiles | 1645615041 |
New. The permissions have been reorganized into tabs. This simplifies the permission trees and makes permissions easier to navigate. This also resolved a UI issue where the screen could jump and permissions could re-order themselves after a certain number of checkboxes have been activated. This no longer occurs. |
December 3 | Projects | 1641706250 | Fixed. Enhanced time users were not able filter project logs by category even when they had the appropriate permissions to do so. Now, they can. |
December 3 | Reports | 1641556261 | Fixed. When exporting a multi-level report to Excel, only some of the Level 1 data and none of the Level 2 was being exported. We resolved this issue and exports to Excel match what users see in the UI. |
December 3 | Projects | 1649509152 | Fixed. When a Gantt chart report is exported to PDF with the Print list and Gantt on same page option enabled, the last line of the report is no longer cut off. |
December 3 | Portfolios | 1643005215 1648397137 1654130755 |
Fixed. We changed the structure of the Portfolio Chart View visualization to show children in vertical stacks rather than the original horizontal stacks. In the original visualization, the connecting lines made it difficult to see which child portfolios belonged to their corresponding parent portfolios. However there is a still a small defect that could affect the visualization, where a portfolio box may overlap another portfolio box when there are multiple portfolio relationships, for which we are waiting on a fix from Highcharts. |
December 3 | Resource Staffing Requests | 1567993249 | Fixed. Unit managers were able to decline any resource requests, not just the requests for their unit or the units below. This is no longer the case and unit managers are once again limited to declining requests for resource from their unit. |
December 3 | Organization Roles | 1653781795 | Fixed. Editing role titles was triggering an error when users tried to save their changes. This issue no longer occurs. Additionally, the load time of roles and role pages has been improved. |
December 3 | Financial Entries | 1651959059 | Fixed. Financial entry contours in enterprises that have multiple currencies were changing when they should not; after changing a project's currency and choosing to convert all values to the new currency, when subsequently editing an existing contour and saving, the financial entry was incorrectly converted to the prior currency. Now when a financial entry value is updated it is saved correctly. |
December 3 | Reports | 1650100759 | Fixed. In reports which show filters before running, the modal containing the filters is large enough to show all filters and the Run button. |
December 3 | Reports | 1643513119 | Fixed. Donut charts now allow users to sort by a Value field. This option was missing in previous releases. |
December 3 | Projects | 1599678547 | Fixed. When a lookup list in a project template has a value selected, that value will remain selected when a new project is created from the template. Previously, when a new project was created from a template, the default value of the lookup list would replace the value selected in the template. |
November 19 (production) | Reports | 1643357333 | Fixed. Users can successfully export Pie charts to PowerPoint. These exports no longer trigger an error. |
November 19 (production) | Reports | 1642236502 | Fixed. When configured to display values, Column Charts will display all values for columns in the chart. Previously, smaller values were not displayed in the chart. |
November 19 (production) | Reports | 1636525521 | Fixed. Gantt reports now display colors correctly when an HTML color code is applied to Gantt report fields. |
November 19 (production) | Projects | 1647760881 | Fixed. Display as settings for columns in project grids persist when switching between categories. Previously, the selected setting would revert back to its previous state when users change categories. |
November 19 (production) | Reports | 1647162011 | Fixed. In Excel exports of crosstab time-series reports, single quote or apostrophe characters (') are displayed correctly. Prior to this fix, they were replaced by an HTML code in exports. |
November 19 (production) | Resource Records | 1636541864 | Fixed. The First Name and Last Name fields in resource records no longer accept leading or trailing spaces. Prior to this fix, it was possible to create duplicate resources because of the additional spaces in those fields. |
November 12 (sandbox) |
PPA | 1628122212 |
Fixed. PPA no longer throws an error if the projects feeding into the scenario have negative Forecast entries. |
November 12 (sandbox) November 19 (production) |
PPA | 1628013064 | Fixed. PPA no longer excludes projects where the resource capacity modifier is greater than 1 and demand is greater than 1.5. |
