Checking the Numbers

This table is to help you trace where the values displayed in the summary are derived from. This will help you verify the summary information, which we hope helps you learn how to use this feature. Cash Outflow accounts for expense or cost while Cash Inflow accounts for revenue or benefits. When checking numbers, be sure to consider if you have applied a filter to the Data Source.

NOTE: For Cash Inflow that relies on task data sources, if the Task Billing Type is "Fixed Bid", the Forecast amount will be the same as the Budget amount. This is due to the nature of Fixed Bid, where Forecast (or estimated) revenue is treated the same as Budget revenue.

  • Cash Inflow: demand hours * resource/role project billing rates

  • Cash Outflow: Budget Cost field on task
  • Cash Inflow: Revenue Budget field on task
Task Estimated Hours

  • Cash Outflow: Role internal rate * estimated hours
  • Cash Inflow: Role project billing rate * estimated hours
Task Scheduled Hours

  • Cash Outflow: Resource internal rate * scheduled hours
  • Cash Inflow: Resource project billing rate * scheduled hours
