About Issues

Note: The "Issues" label is often customized and may be called something else in your customer instance, like Project Log or Issues/Risks.

Issues allow users to log, track and resolve project-related topics such as problems, change orders, bugs, requests, ideas and general issues. Each issue is assigned to a resource, and has a set of fields - the exact fields are determined by your organization. Issues can be accessed from Home/Issues, the Issues navigation icon, as well as from the Issues section for each Project.

Issue Rights

The following table lists functions you can perform on issues and the permissions requirements for performing the function. Note that permissions can be applied globally for all issues (Global rule in profile), or to project team members for issues on that project (Team rule in profile).

- Users with Project > Edit > Issues permission 

Edit Details

- Users with Project > Edit > Issues permission 

- Issue owners have implicit permission to edit Details

Delete Issues

- Users with Project > Delete > Issues permission 

Create Issue Attachments

- Users with Project > Edit > Issues permission 

View Issues

- Users with Project > View > Issues permission in a Global profile

- Issue owners have implicit permission to view Details
