Release Schedule

Issue fixes released weekly Planned weekly releases containing issue fixes and minor enhancements; release notes updated accordingly

Releases are deployed during the standard maintenance windows.

Reminders

  • Defect fixes and occasional beta features are delivered weekly; most beta features and GA features (when ready) are delivered monthly.
  • You can request that beta features be enabled in your production environment by entering a support ticket (some beta features not initially available in production, Planview will advise). Please note that any issues you find will be handled during the normal development cycle. 
  • Planview sends out status emails in advance of planned and non-planned releases/updates/incidents. These alerts include the date and time window of the releases/updates/incident, as well as a link to the release notes that include a list of the issues addressed in the releases/updates/incident. To subscribe to these alerts, please go to https://status.planview.com/ and click the Subscribe button.
  • We typically hold a live product release webinar on the Wednesday before the production release. This webinar will be hosted by PPM Pro product management and consulting personnel, and will include time for Q&A. Click here to register for the September 15th release webinar.   • Inner circles are offered as a way for our interested customers to collaborate with PPM Pro Product Management and each other, provide feedback on PPM Pro product capabilities, and guide new feature development. Click here for more information or to register.

To maintain security in PPMPro, users will not be able to sign in to PPMPro from unsupported browsers. If you are not already doing so, please access PPMPro from one of the browsers we support.

Card View for other SSA Entities

Card View provides an alternative to the standard entity grids. The first entities receiving a card view are Projects, Tasks, and Project Logs/Issues.

If you wish to enable this feature in your environment, enter a support case requesting to do so.

Highlights

PPMPro-ProjectPlace V2 integration will allow for either PPM Pro or ProjectPlace to take ownership of the Plan and WBS in a Project/Workspace. 

  • Auto-mapped fields
  • Ability to switch system of control on both PPM Pro and ProjectPlace

September 30 Tasks 1807253582 Fixed. In instances with a PPMPro-ProjectPlace V2 integrations, users were experiencing errors editing tasks in the spreadsheet editor when Project controlled in PPMPro. These errors no longer occur and tasks can be edited successfully.
September 23 Requests 1808648924 Improved. When taking action on a request, the selected request will now retain focus after the action.
September 23 Dashboard Publishing 1805764962 Improved. Dashboard publishing now allows email addresses in the recipient list that have long top-level domains (e.g. abc@abc.television).
September 23 Financial Entries 1696235490 Fixed. We fixed an inconsistency in the behavior of user-defined fields used as Forecast and Actual in Financial Entries. If the same field is used for both, then setting the field as required in one will set it as required in the other. This behavior is now mirrored when the field is set to be not required.

September 12

Reports 1802721674 Fixed. Some List: Basic reports on Timesheet Entries could not be run. This has been fixed and the affected reports now run as expected.
September 16 Reports 1794780048 Fixed. Color filter values selected in a report's preview were not kept when the report was run. Now, these values are preserved and used when running a report.
