Releases are deployed during the standard maintenance windows.


  • Defect fixes and occasional beta features are delivered weekly; most beta features and GA features (when ready) are delivered monthly.
  • You can request that beta features be enabled in your production environment by entering a support ticket (some beta features not initially available in production, Planview will advise). Please note that any issues you find will be handled during the normal development cycle. 
  • Planview sends out status emails in advance of planned and non-planned releases/updates/incidents. These alerts include the date and time window of the releases/updates/incident, as well as a link to the release notes that include a list of the issues addressed in the releases/updates/incident.   • We typically hold a live product release webinar on the Wednesday before the production release. This webinar will be hosted by PPM Pro product management and consulting personnel, and will include time for Q&A. Click here to register for the November 16th release webinar. Starting in January 2023, the option to Import from MSP will be renamed to Import from XML. We encourage users that need to import data from Microsoft Project to import XML files instead of MSP files. Doing so will prevent issues that can arise from differences between MSP files from the online and desktop versions of Microsoft Project.




If your instance of PPM Pro has an integration with TaskTop Hub or TaskTop Sync you may need to take steps to ensure that you continue to experience smooth performance. This FAQ outlines the details of what you need to do to ensure your integration continues to perform as expected:

Atlassian has announced an API change to their cloud-based offerings which will very likely break existing Hub and Sync integrations. This change will begin to impact Jira Cloud users as early as November 30th.

If you wish to enable this feature in your environment, enter a support case requesting to do so.


PPMPro-ProjectPlace V2 integration will allow for either PPM Pro or ProjectPlace to take ownership of the Plan and WBS in a Project/Workspace. 

  • Auto-mapped fields
  • Ability to switch system of control on both PPM Pro and ProjectPlace
  • ProjectPlace Cards displayed in PPM Pro
    • Auto-mapped fields Read-Only

When a session timed out, single sign-on and Planview ID users are presented with a secondary window to login. After authentication, the PPM Pro launched in the secondary window instead continuing the session in the first window.  Now, the secondary window closes properly and users can continue working in their original browser window.
December 2 Tasks 1841296418, 1841392861 Fixed. Exporting a task plan to XML format for MSP caused an error to be thrown in certain cases.  This has been resolved.

Reporting 1787681440 New.  Latest Status Comments reporting fields added under the Project path field:

Calculated Fields 1824778181 Fixed. Incorrect rounding was shown on the results of calculated field "test" functionality. This has been addressed.

Scoring 1782004949

Fixed. When using the scoring module, certain locale preferences were causing scores to be increased by 10x due to decimal formatting.  This is now resolved.

Request 1796292932 Fixed. Closing out and not saving changes on a Request will block the user from opening/editing other Requests. This is now resolved.

UI 1652225287 Fixed. In certain cases, tooltips were being duplicated repeatedly in the UI. This is now resolved.

Tasks 1818356458 Fixed. When importing tasks using a MSP XML file, an error was thrown if baselines were included even though baselines are not imported by design. This no longer occurs.

Resources 1820480996 Fixed. Dates were not displayed in the correct format in the upper half of the Resource Workbench.  Now dates are correctly displayed according to the user's date preference.
