Reminders
- Defect fixes and occasional beta features are delivered weekly; most beta features and GA features (when ready) are delivered monthly.
- You can request that beta features be enabled in your production environment by entering a support ticket (some beta features not initially available in production, Planview will advise). Please note that any issues you find will be handled during the normal development cycle.
- Planview sends out status emails in advance of planned and non-planned releases/updates/incidents. These alerts include the date and time window of the releases/updates/incident, as well as a link to the release notes that include a list of the issues addressed in the releases/updates/incident. To subscribe to these alerts, please go to https://status.planview.com/ and click the Subscribe button.
- We typically hold a live product release webinar on the Wednesday before the production release. This webinar will be hosted by PPM Pro product management and consulting personnel, and will include time for Q&A. Click here to register for the May 11th release webinar. Also, remember you can sign up for any/all upcoming customer webinars here.
- Inner circles are offered as a way for our interested customers to collaborate with PPM Pro Product Management and each other, provide feedback on PPM Pro product capabilities, and guide new feature development. Click here for more information or to register.
Special Announcement
When we launched our new Reports feature, we also announced that Legacy Reports were going to be deprecated at some point. Now, in order to ease the ongoing transition to our new Reports, we have decided not to deprecate Legacy Reports. Instead, we are ending ongoing support for Legacy Reports. This means that we will not be addressing any bugs that arise in Legacy Reports or adding any new features or enhancements to it. You can continue to use Legacy Reports for as long as you need to, however, we strongly encourage you to make the transition to new Reports if you want access to our latest reporting features and support for bug fixes. To make the transition easier, you can use the report definitions in the Reports Cookbook to upload pre-made reports to your instance.

Release Notes - Sorted by Release Date
Release Date | Function Area | LeanKit card | Release Note Description |
---|---|---|---|
June 10 | Tasks | 1747922911 | New. In addition to our current support for exporting tasks to and importing tasks from Microsoft Project files, users can now import and export PPM Pro task data directly to XML. This method increases the reliability of imports and exports and maintains compatibility with Microsoft Project. |
June 10 | Dashboards | 1702977845 | Fixed. In some instances, numeric time series fields in Dashboards always displayed "0" for their values. This issue affected instances that had their Locale set to a region that uses commas as decimal marks. This issue is fixed and time series fields correctly diplay data regardless of the Locale setting. |
May 27 | Resource Workbench | 1730635947 | New. The Resource Utilization Pane in the Resource Workbench now has a option to view resource utilization in weekly intervals. Previously, data in this pane could only be viewed in monthly or quarterly intervals. |

New. Users now have new configuration options for column headers in the following report types:
The new configuration options are:

Permissions | 1734392847 | Fixed. The expand/collapse icons in the permission hierarchy were not changing with the state of the tree. Clicking on the icons would still expand or collapse branches in the hierarchy as normal. Now, the expand/collapse icons correctly reflect the current state of the branch they control. |
May 13 (sandbox) May 20 (production) |
Reports | 1724856929 |
Fixed. Users were encountering an error when trying to drilldown into columns in Column: Basic reports. This no longer occurs. |

Reports | 1663483160 |
New. The display tab in the report designer has a new option to Apply project % to include that appears when a numeric portfolio field is added to the report. The option is a checkbox that works like this:
|
May 13 (sandbox) May 20 (production) |
Reports | 1657360676 | Fixed (Mostly). When running a report with a filter and show hierarchy enabled, the report would display blank lines where the excluded row would be. Now, the blank lines are gone unless the report needs to display the children of an excluded row. In that case, the parent row is still shown as blank. |
May 13 (sandbox) May 20 (production) |
Reports | 1535446746 | New. We added the capability to select how filtering on two or more entities will return results. For example, if you apply a filter on portfolios and another filter on projects within the portfolios, you can select whether you want results to meet Any or All of the criteria in the two filters. |
