Weekly view has been fully rolled out. The utilization periods will go up to 13 with the June production release. |
| Will adding the ability to import from Excel be considered at some point? |
At the moment we can use spreadsheet-style editor to copy/paste from Excel to a proejct. We are not considering ability of importing from Excel for Tasks at the moment. |
| regarding reports - does a report recipe exist to create a project baseline using the newer report functionality? If not, any plans to create one? Please. |
Project Baselines are not available in new reporting. We recommend either leveraging Published Dashboard, KPI Trend Reports (targeted for July 2022), or Audit History Reports |
| Does the Use Card View enable the option for the user to select card view, or does it make the card view mandatory for all users? |
The option to enable Card View by entity will allow all users to choose between Card view and Grid view. The last view used will be "sticky" and next time the user navigates to the entity, it will default to whatever they last used. |
| Can card view be enabled per project category, or is it all or nothing? Use Case: some groups want to use it, some don't. If all or nothing, if we remove all fields from the category, is that a workaround? |
The Card View option will be all or nothing. You can configure the Card View by Category. |
| Is drag and drop for cards also available in Requests now? |
Drag and drop has been available for Requests as well. The only caveat with Requests will be Current Gate. We don't allow drag and dropping on this field as this is controlled by the approval process. |
| Do we have the ability to prevent drag and drop from changing the values of the "view by" field? I'm concerned about accidental changes. |
To prevent drag and drop on a field, you must ensure the field is not in the category details. History on the entities should capture any change via drag and drop for easy auditing. |

| If you change the view in PPM PRO to cards, does it also change the view in Projectplace |
Changing the view in PPM Pro will not affect how the related Projectplace workspace will display. |

Ability to edit json file is not available at the moment. Any fields that are not found will be pointed out in the import process. |
| If you changed a name of a standard field and import a cookbook recipe that uses that field, does it find the newly named field? |
Yes! The import will look at Method IDs to identify fields. If the same standard field exists under another display name in the instance, it will still bring it over. |
| Will the new card feature cause application slowness? |
We did extensive testing and did not find any issues in performance with this feature enabled for all supported entities. |
| Can you set alerts to go out on the cards when they are moved for example? |
All current Project Alerts in place will still apply when using Card View. If for example, there is an alert set for Project Log modification, Card View on Project Log will respect that. |
