Releases are deployed during the standard maintenance windows.

Reminders

  • Defect fixes and occasional beta features are delivered weekly; most beta features and GA features (when ready) are delivered monthly.
  • You can request that beta features be enabled in your production environment by entering a support ticket (some beta features not initially available in production, Planview will advise). Please note that any issues you find will be handled during the normal development cycle. 
  • Planview sends out status emails in advance of planned and non-planned releases/updates/incidents. These alerts include the date and time window of the releases/updates/incident, as well as a link to the release notes that include a list of the issues addressed in the releases/updates/incident. To subscribe to these alerts, please go to https://status.planview.com/ and click the Subscribe button.
  • We typically hold a live product release webinar on the Wednesday before the production release. This webinar will be hosted by PPM Pro product management and consulting personnel, and will include time for Q&A. Click here to register for the June 15th release webinar. Card View for other SSA Entities

Unlike previous beta releases, this feature is available to production environments. If you want to enable this feature, see Card View Setup (Beta).

Rolling beta highlights

The primary goal of this feature is to provide users with a "Card View" alternative to the standard entity grids. The first entities receiving a card view are Projects, Tasks, and Project Logs/Issues.

  • Configure which entities support card view
  • Control how cards will appear per category and which fields display on the card

KPI Trend Reports (Part 1)

New reports are getting their own version of legacy KPI Trend Reports. Functionality for this feature will be rolled out in at least two phases. Phase One includes:

  • Support for Line, Bar, Column, and List Trend Series
  • Color configuration to highlight value changes in List: Trend Series

July 1 Reports 1757271797 Fixed. Financial Summary filters, once created, were not available in reports. Now, Financial Summary filters can be found and selected for use in reports.
July 1 Tasks 1758366477 Fixed. Adjusting columns in the Task grid would cause subtasks to display 0.00 hours. Now, subtask hours continue to display correctly when task columns are adjusted.
July 1 Reports 1753932936 Fixed. The italic style setting for column headers in reports was not working. Italic text was appearing as bold instead. Column headers now correctly display italic styling.
June 17 Reports 1742268715 New. When importing an existing report schema, the modal gives you the option to upload an existing recipe from the Reports Cookbook. This gives you an easy way to quickly generate new, pre-made reports.
June 17 Admin 1753644202 Fixed. In instances that do not have Legacy Reports enabled, the Publishing section was missing from the Admin entity. This is no longer the case and all instances should have a visible Publishing section.
June 17 Tasks 1687620488 Fixed. We fixed an issue where attempting to copy a summary task and its children could result in a error. This no longer occurs and users can successfully copy and paste summary tasks into other projects.
June 17 Dashboards 1657810505 Fixed. Running a reports from a dashboard that contained only that report could be significantly slower when certain filter settings were applied. Now, reports from single-report dashboard run at the same speed as that report normally would from the Report grid.
June 17 Resource Workbench 1757798753 Fixed. When viewing the resource workbench in weekly mode, hovering over a cell displayed information from the wrong week. This no longer happens and hovering over over a cell displays the correct data for that week.
June 17  Resource Workbench 1752010706 New. We increased the number of visible weeks when viewing the resource workbench in weekly mode. You can now see 13 weeks instead of 8.
June 17 Financial Summary 1732068379 Fixed. To reduce confusion, adjusted the label for one the financial summary filters. The new label is Financial Summary: Title string. It filters for string fields. Another label, Financial Summary: Title, filters for multi-select pick lists.
June 17 Organization 1748243895 Fixed. We updated a label in the Organization tab.The label Add other currencies that projects, requests, and resource and role rates may use instead of the Organization currency... now reads: Add other currencies that projects, resource and role rates may use instead of the Organization currency...

Reports 1731626585 Fixed. In Gantt reports, child tasks were misaligned. This has been fixed.

Projects 1728651749 Fixed. User-defined project fields that were set to display as URL links were instead displayed as drop-down fields. This no longer occurs and URL fields are displayed correctly.
