4.4.7 and 4.5 Release Notes

Welcome to the Planview IdeaPlace Current Release page. Here you will find everything you need to know about the 4.4.7 and 4.5 level releases. IdeaPlace is now shipped with a two week release cycle cadence. (See this article for more information.) Additionally, the Release Note Archives contain PDF and digest-versions going back to 4.0.

New Reporting/Analytics Feature

IdeaPlace's new analytics solution is something that we are tremendously excited to be bringing to our application. Power BI offers a strong set of out-of-the box capabilities to you, allowing for increased flexibility, deeper insights gathering and an enhanced user experience, all of which were key to us making the decision to migrate. Specifically, this change will deliver advanced analytics features such as natural language processing and sentiment analysis.

Please see the article Reporting - New Analytics Integrations in Planview IdeaPlace and its sub-articles for additional information.

Additional Desktop Fixes

This section details the 4.4.7 fixes that have been delivered as part of the release.

Excel Reports – Following client reports of an issue in assigning permissions to Excel Reports, we have identified the issue and delivered a fix. It is now possible to access the permissions dialog and set the appropriate permissions for each report.

Help Link – The help link contained within the site now links the user directly to our new help site, removing the links to the outgoing help service. You can read more about the changes in the IdeaPlace Support, IdeaPlace Support migration to Salesforce, and Planview Customer Community articles.

The application supports the following browsers in the 4.5 version:

Firefox – 72,
