Changing the User Experience Management Parameters


If you want to make changes to user templates and need additional assistance, contact your Community Manager or the Planview IdeaPlace Support Team.

How to Change the User Experience Management Parameters

  1. From the Administration page click User Management > User Settings.

  2. Provide templates for the user profile and idea home pages. You can include tokens, which are strings of text that are replaced by page-specific variables. For example, on the user profile page, the token $__fname__ will be replaced by the user's first name. The description under each template box lists the tokens you may use.

  3. Provide the HTML code for the user registration questions, if you do not want to use the default.



    Only do this if you know HTML; otherwise, leave the User Registration Questions section alone.


  4. Check or uncheck the checkboxes.

    • For text entries, provide text (in the indicated format, if there is one for that text entry), or leave blank to not use that feature.

    • For the sections with an Add New button, there are multiple possible entries. Click Add New to add one, click X to delete one, and edit the text to change one.

  5. Click Submit to save your changes.
