4.4.4 Release Notes

Desktop Updates

Overview

This section details all of the updates that have been delivered as part of the release. These 4.4.4 Release Notes are also attached to this article.

Emails

Phase Emails - We have become aware that adding a new phase to a challenge resulted in the associated phase emails being enabled. This was a change in behavior from previous versions of the product. Any new phases added will now add emails to the Emails panel in Administration but they will not be enabled by default.

Additional Notes

Phase reminder emails are now all disabled by default. This means that in the following scenarios, the phase emails will not be enabled:

1. Challenges with phase emails already off - When adding a phase to an existing challenge where the other phase announcements are disabled, the new phase announcement emails will also being disabled.

2. Challenges with phase emails already on - When adding a phase to an existing challenge where other phase announcements are on, the new phase announcements will be disabled.

3. Adding phases and templates - Any new phases added to challenges built from templates will not override the master template configuration in any way.

4. Adding phases to templates - Updating the master template will only impact new challenges created from that template. It will not impact any challenges already created from that template.

Ideas

Follow Ideas - An issue whereby idea owners were being automatically unsubscribed from their ideas when they commented has now been fixed. Idea owners and standard users alike will not be unsubscribed from any idea that they were previously subscribed to. All email notifications will be unaffected.
