Boards

Additional Labels for Boards

We received feedback from ProjectPlace users that there needed to be more (color) labels to classify cards on a Board. With this month's update, you now have 14 label colors to choose from - that's twice as much as before. Now, categorizing cards is even easier and more effective, keeping your projects organized.

Import Cards

Creating new workspaces is now even easier. You can import tasks (from other tools) by creating cards on a ProjectPlace Board. You no longer have to manually copy and paste or retype data. Importing allows users the ability to automatically add valuable information into a new ProjectPlace card.

Use a template .csv file to import cards with attributes you typically see on a ProjectPlace card. The import includes the following card attributes:

  • Title
  • Description
  • Due date
  • Assignee
  • Label
  • Estimated time
  • Points
  • Blocked reason
  • Column

My Overview

Revised Document Review Icons

As of this update, there are two types of Document review icons. Users can now distinguish between a document you have sent out for review and a document you are reviewing for someone else.

Portfolios

Adding the KPI Description to the New Project Status Page

We've responded to feedback from ProjectPlace users working with Portfolios. Previously the KPI (Key Performance Indicator) description was not visible for the user updating the KPI status.  The Project Status Page now includes:

  • the complete name of each KPI. If the name of the KPI is too long to display, you will see the full KPI name when you hover the cursor over the abbreviated KPI name.
  • the description for each KPI. Hover the cursor over the info icon next to the KPI name to see the KPI description.

These new additions help to facilitate a better understanding of how to complete all necessary information for each KPI.

Time Reporting with ProjectPlace Assistant in Messages

This release includes the ability for ProjectPlace Messages users to inquire about assignments with status and work with time reporting. Use Messages to inquire about time reports in your natural language. Some example inquiries include:

  • Query assignments with different status
  • Invoke time reporting with a command
  • Report time by writing in natural language
  • Undo reported time

Workload

Workload Capacity View - Export to Microsoft Excel

This month's release allows you to work with information from the Workload Capacity View in ProjectPlace by exporting those details into a Microsoft Excel document. You can include Workload capacity details in reports you develop outside of ProjectPlace. The exported file includes a second sheet which contains the Capacity View details.
