Deprecation of SMS for two-step verification

Support for SMS as method of two-step verification will be removed 10 April, 2025.

After this date, the following three methods of two-step verification will remain.

  • Email
  • Yubi-key
  • Authenticator application

I use SMS - what do I need to do?

  1. Sign-in and go to your security settings
  2. Choose another two-step verification option than SMS
  3. Save your updated security settings
  4. All done!

What happens if I don't change my two-step verification method?

  • On 10 April we will lock your account
  • You can regain access to your account by going through a forgotten password flow
  • Once you have set a new password, you can select a new two-step verification method
