Enhancements to Templates

The product release this month makes creating a new workspace with templates even easier. All templates are available right away, without having to use a pull down menu and are available through one of four new categories: 

  • Personal templates
  • Account templates
  • ProjectPlace (or Global) templates
    • Available for all ProjectPlace users (Project Place Trial and ProjectPlace Enterprise)
    • Available for U.S. customers using the U.S. datacenter
  • Partner templates (Available in a future product release coming soon.)

Working with Teams

Working with Teams in ProjectPlace will now be better, thanks to the feedback we received from some ProjectPlace users. Before this product release, the Account Administrator was the only person that could create a team through the Account Administration tool and a user could only be a member of one team. However, these restrictions have been removed. With the March Product Update, a user can be a member of more than one team and any user can create a team from the  My Teams overview without having to depend on the Account Administrator to create the team.  Previously, the My Teams overview was only visible if you were a member of a team.  Moving forward, the My Teams overview is visible for all users.

Mobile Apps

The Android mobile app now provides the ability to link to third party document repositories such as Box, Dropbox, Google Drive and One Drive. If you do not have a mobile app, visit the Apps download center to get either the iOS or Android mobile app today.

Planview Enterprise One and ProjectPlace Integration Improvements

We continue to make progress with the integration between Planview Enterprise One and ProjectPlace.  ProjectPlace users who also work in Planview Enterpise One will now experience a better, more robust workflow helping to reach our goal to make the integration process between Planview products a seamless one.

Other Enhancements

A number of performance related enhancements and bug fixes also have been included in this month's release.
