Documents

My Overview and Team Overview Now Includes a Documents Detail Pane

Previously, users were redirected to the Documents tool when clicking a document listed in the My Work tab in the overview.  With this product release, users can see the document details and finish the review from the detail pane from the (My or Team) Overview page.

Preview Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint Documents

With this month's release, Documents Preview also supports the following Microsoft Office documents:

• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft PowerPoint 

This feature is being piloted in the beginning of July and will be released to all customers over the following two weeks.

Messages

Welcome to the New ProjectPlace Assistant - Beta

We are introducing our first attempt at artificial intelligence with ProjectPlace Assistant – Beta. This new feature is available within the Messages tool.  We are releasing some exciting ProjectPlace Assistant functionality in the upcoming months. Currently, ProjectPlace Assistant understands:

• General conversation
• Ask to show assignments
• Ask to filter assignments based on status

This feature is currently in the Beta stage.

Actions on Cards in Messages

Last month, we released the Messages - Beta tool where you can insert a card in a chat. With this release, users are able to take some basic actions on the card in the chat itself. Changes made to a card in Messages will also be reflected in the card's history. Users can now:

• Change the assignee on the card
• Change the status of the card

Plan

No Access to the Plan

ProjectPlace users have requested the ability to hide access to the Plan tool for specified groups (i.e., external users or consultants) that are invited to the workspace for collaboration in the Documents and Boards tools. We've listened to your feedback and now we've added a No access setting in the Plan tool to prevent access to or hide some of the information in the Plan tool. Users that do not have access to the Plan will not:

• See the Plan tool tab
• See information on Milestones and Activities in the Workspace overview
• See attached Activities on a Board
• Be able to search for Activities on that Plan
• Be able to do Time Reporting on Activities on that Plan
• Get information about that Plan through API calls
• Be available for @ref on Activities and Milestones

Templates

Updated Templates Interface

We have started to update the Template tool to match the modern look and feel of the rest of the ProjectPlace service. Now, you will see:

• a visual update of Navigation
• a new detail pane for Template administration

Mobile Apps

If you do not have a mobile app, visit the Apps download center to get either the iOS or Android mobile app today.

Convert a Personal Task into a Card

You can now convert a personal task to a ProjectPlace Card. While this feature was previously available in the Android app, it's now available in the iOS app as well. 

See Document Review Comments

Users of the Mobile apps have for some time had the ability to see and finish reviews by entering a comment in the app. However, it was not possible for users to go back and read a review comment (which is necessary for some users). So, with this month's product release, it is now possible for mobile app users to see Document review comments. 

Other Enhancements
