Weekly Release Information

Going forward, we will publish feature release information every week instead of at the end of each month. This way, you will be aware of product updates as soon as they are available. The weekly information will be in English, but the monthly release summary will be translated to German, French and Swedish, just like before.

Issues Migration banner

Customers with their data in the EU datacenter may have access to an old version of Issues that will shortly be decommissioned​. A banner is now displayed for all users in the old Issues tool with information that migration to the new Issues version will take place on May 31, 2021.​ Workspace administrators can click a button to initiate the migration themselves before the deadline.​

Document Templates

We have updated the experience of working with Document templates to be more consistent with our overall design, providing a more simple and efficient way of managing document templates within a workspace. Workspace administrators will now find Document templates from the Templates menu in the workspace, in the same location as Card templates and Review workflow templates.

Add Tags to a Selection of Cards

Members of a workspace who want to categorize cards using tags will now be able to do so more easily​. Here's what you need to know:

  • When selecting two or more cards, users will see a sum of already added tags on the selected cards​.
  • Users can add tags to the selection of cards. If the added tag already is connected to some of the cards in the selection, it will be added to the remaining cards in the selection​.
  • Users can also remove a tag from all cards in the selection of cards that are currently using this tag.

Card Import Enhancements

Members with access to a board will now be able to include more information when using the card import function. The card import file can now include dependencies between cards in the file, and cards in the import file can now be added to activities that are currently connected to the board.

Power BI OData Updates

For Workspace Administrators using OData with Power BI  to report on progress, we've made the following updates to improve the reporting capabilities:​

  • The Workspaces table now shows the customized Status values​ when applicable
  • The Workspaces table now also contains the Creation Date​ value
  • The Cards table now also contains the Planned Start Date and Actual Start Date​ values
  • The Members table now also contains the Cost Center value added for that user​
  • Integration ID has been added to the Workspaces, Activities, and Cards tables to facilitate joint reporting of Projectplace data with E1, PPM Pro or Spigit integrated workspaces​
  • We have added two new tables (Issues and IssueTags) to enable reporting on Risks and Issues in the workspace

New Global Workspace Template for Product Delivery

Users that wants to quickly get started with a software design initiative can now select to create a new workspace based on the Planview Product Delivery Template​. This template contains some pre-configured information, e.g. delivery schedule, board, document folders that shortens the set-up time.

Mobile App Updates

Users of the iOS and Android mobile apps will now be able to see and use the new Custom Field types (Numeric, Percentage and Currency) on Cards and Documents.
