When adding attachments to cards, activities, milestones, etc. in the iOS mobile app, users can now select files from their SharePoint repository. Note that this is only visible for the accounts that have the SharePoint integration enabled. Later this spring this will also be available for the Android mobile app.

Projectplace is available on App Store and on Google play.

New Whiteboard feature for remote team brainstorming

Whiteboard.png

Remote work is here to stay and we want to help facilitate team collaboration when members get together to talk about future work or brainstorm around certain topics. One example would be situations where you need a free-form canvas to gather around, rather than the structured format of a Board. The new Whiteboard capability can be used in these situations. It offers the ability for real-time collaboration by using multiple shapes, arrows, and text, to format the objects in different ways, such as highlighting certain topics.

When the brainstorming session is over, the team can create cards from selected items on the Whiteboard, which can be easily added to the work planned for the team.

All Whiteboards are stored until you delete them, which means you can go back to a certain Whiteboard to see what was discussed during that session. An image file of the Whiteboard can also be downloaded for uses such as external presentations.

New Account co-owner role

Until now it has only been possible to have one Account Owner for an account. In situations where the Account Owner was not available, no other person could manage account level communications and changes. With this release, the Account Owner will now be able to share their responsibility with a new Account co-owner role. The Account co-owner will have the same rights as the Account Owner except that they will not be able to add or remove other Account co-owners. Up to five Account co-owners can be added.

In the People tab within Account administration, the Account Owner can assign an Account Administrator to the Account co-owner role.
