Communicate in real-time with Messages

Communicating in Projectplace is easy. Whether you use the Conversations tool, online meetings, or comments in cards, activities, and documents, you can easily communicate with team members.  Now, we're introducing a new method of communicating. Use the Messages tool to quickly contact and communicate in real-time with your team members (This feature is currently in the Beta stage).


Cards assigned to teams

There's a new way to communicate work to teams. You can now request a card assignment from a team.  The team is notified of the arrival of the card in the team overview.  The card can then be assigned to a team member so work can begin.

Estimated and reported time on the card

We've made a small but important update to the card display on the board. If you have entered an estimated or reported time on a card, it is now visible directly on the card on the board so you don't have to click on the card to see these details.

Updates in the handling of user data

We have updated our Terms and Conditions. For more information, please go to the Terms and Conditions page at We have also added some new functionality to the service to improve access and the updating of personal information:

  • A user can now download personal information from the user settings in Projectplace.
  • There is a link to the Planview Data Subject Access Request portal in the user settings where it is possible to change the opt-in settings and make other requests.
  • An Account administrator can now delete a user account that belongs to the company (previously only the user him/herself could delete the account).
  • A user invitation is now only valid for 30 days. When this time period expires, a new invitation has to be sent to the new user to complete the registration process.

Mobile Apps

If you do not have a mobile app, visit the Apps download center to get either the iOS or Android mobile app today.

Enforce pin-code to unlock mobile apps

We have added the possibility to turn on a setting that will make it mandatory for all mobile app (iOS and Android) users to set and use a pin-code or a fingerprint to unlock the mobile app... before the mobile app will be accessible.

A number of performance related enhancements and bug fixes have been included in this month's release.
