Account Administration

User Cost Codes

To enable cost allocation for all members, Account Administrators can now define cost codes at the user level on the People tab under Account Administration. Cost codes can be defined for both internal and external users. Note that if a cost code is defined on an external user, it will only be associated with your customer account, not their individual user account (since external users may be part of several customer accounts.)

To learn more, visit Manage Users in the Account.

Documents

Locked by Me Filter

Document filters enable you to find documents that meet specific criteria, such as who created a document. In this release, we've added a new Locked by me filter to help you easily find all the documents you have currently locked in a specific workspace.

To learn more about working with documents, visit Work with Documents and Folders.

Mobile Apps

Global Search for iOS App

Users can now perform a general search for documents, cards, and activities in the iOS app (this feature is already available in the Android app).

To download the iOS or Android mobile app, visit the ProjectPlace Download Center

Requests

Department Field on Requests

Continuing the series of enhancements to the Requests feature, this month's release enables administrators to define a Department on an individual request. Incoming requests will have the default department value defined by the request form; however, administrators can edit the default department on a request if needed. Administrators can also use the filter function to easily find all requests related to a specific department.

To learn more, visit Enable and Manage Workspace Requests.

Other Enhancements

ProjectPlace Messages Decommissioning

To improve the performance of the ProjectPlace service and focus on contextual communication within the ProjectPlace application, we have decommissioned the ProjectPlace Messages beta feature. To make it easier for you to use ProjectPlace with external communication apps, we released the ProjectPlace for Slack and ProjectPlace for Microsoft Teams integrations earlier this year:

  • The ProjectPlace app for Slack enables you to transition seamlessly between conversations and tasks by linking a Slack channel to a ProjectPlace board, and creating and updating cards directly from Slack.
  • The ProjectPlace app for Microsoft Teams provides you with the ability to easily see and access work carried out in ProjectPlace from your channels in Microsoft Teams.
A number of performance related enhancements and bug fixes have been included in this month's release.
