Enhanced custom date field automation

Card automation rules now support extended custom date field options in the Update Card action, enabling automated date-based workflows without manual updates.

Key features include:

  • Static dates: Set custom date fields to specific calendar dates.

  • Dynamic date values: Set custom date fields to "today", "yesterday", or "tomorrow".

  • Relative date calculations: Set dates relative to today, such as "today + 30 days" or "today - 1 week" for automatic deadline calculations.

  • Field-based date copying: Copy date values from other fields on the same card or related cards.

Example use cases:

  • Set "Review Due" to 30 days from today when a card moves to "In Review".

  • Capture "Started Date" as today when a card enters the "Started" lane.

  • Copy the "Planned Finish" date to a custom "Original Deadline" field when a card is created to preserve the initial timeline. 

  • Set "Reminder Date" to "today + 7 days" for automatic follow-ups.

  • Clear custom date fields when conditions are met to remove outdated dates. 

  • Coordinate dependent timelines by setting custom date fields based on related cards' date values.

Dependency columns added to Board List View

Dependency columns have been added to the Board List View. You can now view all incoming and outgoing dependencies for all cards on the board, regardless of their location, while in the Board List view. Hovering over each column will display a popover with progress and status details for each type of dependency.
