On May 6, 2022, we are taking down the Snowflake data warehouse that powered our Analytics Connect feature. While Snowflake promised to give our users more flexibility in the ways they could access and use their data, it was a monolithic architecture that was difficult for us to work with and difficult for our users to adopt.
Since difficulty just does not align with our Business Intelligence strategy, we are introducing new solutions to solve the problems we hoped that Snowflake could help us solve. The first solution is the collection of improvements to Cognos data sets we made to address performance-related issues with slow-running reports.
The second solution is the OData connector we are releasing to allow users to connect data sets created in Daptiv with PowerBI. The OData Connector will enable customers to create reports and dashboards on their terms, joined with data from other systems. Furthermore, unlike Analytics Connect, there will not be an additional fee to use the OData connector. All users with proper permissions will be able to use the connector to build reports.
