PPM Enhancements for September 10, 2021

We are deploying the following enhancements to Changepoint PPM on Friday, September 10, 2021. This post is designed to help you understand how new and enhanced features can improve your PPM experience, and to guide you in making decisions about how to configure those features (if applicable). To facilitate training and testing ahead of this release, the features below will be deployed in Sandbox environments on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. The next Changepoint PPM Release is September 24, 2021.

For detailed information about these and all PPM Features, see the PPM Online Help.

In addition to the fixes below, this release contains various background improvements that lay the groundwork for future enhancements. They should not have an impact on your current Changepoint PPM experience.

Notable PPM Fixes

UI errors when working with Gantt chart baselines
This release addresses a number of issues users were experiencing when baselines were to their Gantt charts:

  • When creating a baseline, users needed to click OK twice and then reload the chart to see the new baseline.
  • The Gantt chart’s scroll function breaks when a user highlights a baseline.

These issues no longer occur and the Gantt chart UI works properly with baselines.

Unable to edit task dependencies in the Gantt chart
Double-clicking on a task dependency arrow in the Gantt chart did not open the Task Dependency window. This prevented users from editing the dependency on that page. Now, users can open a task dependency and edit it in the Gantt chart.

Dashboard does not load for Bulgarian users
This release fixes an issue where the global Dashboard tab would not load for users with the Bulgarian culture setting. This no longer occurs and the Dashboard tab load properly in every culture setting.

Status field icon colors do not match in Dark Mode
In Dark Mode, status field colors appeared to change between the custom field setting and the rest of PPM. We fixed this discrepancy and status field colors are consistent with the field settings regardless of the UI theme.
