Our email server limits the size of incoming emails. Can we change Cognos' encoding method from UTF-16LE (current) to UTF-8 to reduce the size by half?
This topic has been discussed with our Product team and it has been determined that we will not make this change as it will affect all enterprises. Additionally, UTF-16 supports other localization that UTF-8 does not; making this change could have adverse affects for some customers.
For now, if you are hitting a size limit on your email server, you will need to reduce the amount of data that's being pulled by the report, possibly by filtering data.
