We are deploying the following enhancements to Changepoint PPM on Friday, November 6, 2020. This post is designed to help you understand how new and enhanced features can improve your PPM experience, and to guide you in making decisions about how to configure those features (if applicable). To facilitate training and testing ahead of this release, the features below will be deployed in Sandbox environments on Monday, November 2, 2020. The next Changepoint PPM Release is November 20, 2020.

For detailed information about these and all PPM Features, see the PPM Online Help

Notable PPM Fixes

Pick list weights appear with unnecessary decimals
This release resolves an issue where the values for weighted pick lists were being displayed with seven additional decimal places. Pick list weights are always integers and the additional decimal places were confusing and unnecessary. Now, pick list weights are displayed correctly, without additional decimal places.

Project Dashboard loading error
We fixed an issue with the Project Dashboard that was causing errors when users tried to open it. This issue did not affect all users and could be worked around by assigning affected user additional workspace role permissions. All users can now open the Project Dashboards they have access to without needing extra permissions.

Updated 11/6/20: For quality assurance, we've decided to do further testing on the fix listed below. It will not be part of this PPM release.

Duplicated projects during import
When importing projects into PPM, it was possible for some number of those projects to be duplicated. This could occur with import files that contained large numbers of projects. This issue no longer occurs. Project imports are still limited to 500 per import file.

Unable to delete custom views from the Portfolio tab
This release fixes a bug that was preventing users from deleting custom view from the global Portfolio tab. Now, users can delete their unused views from the Portfolio tab without issue. This issue, and its associated fix, did not affect user-defined custom portfolio tabs.
