PPM Enhancements for May 21, 2021

We are deploying the following enhancements to Changepoint PPM on Friday, May 21, 2021. This post is designed to help you understand how new and enhanced features can improve your PPM experience, and to guide you in making decisions about how to configure those features (if applicable). To facilitate training and testing ahead of this release, the features below will be deployed in Sandbox environments on Monday, May 17, 2021. The next Changepoint PPM Release is June 4, 2021.

For detailed information about these and all PPM Features, see the PPM Online Help.

To receive email updates about the latest enhancements coming to Changepoint PPM, click the Follow button on the Release Notes section page in the Daptiv Community.

In addition to the fixes below, this release contains various background improvements that lay the groundwork for future enhancements. They should not have an impact on your current Changepoint PPM experience.

Notable PPM Fixes

Error renaming Dynamic Applications
Since PPM stopped allowing Dynamic Applications (DA) to have the same name, users have experienced errors when attempting to rename their existing DAs. We fixed this bug and users will be able to successfully rename their existing DAs.

Gaps in resource requirements disappearing from workspace requests
When generating a new workspace from a request that has empty fields between resource requirements, the requirements will shift to fill the empty fields in both the workspace and the original request. This shift may have required users to go back and manually re-enter their requirements. This issue no longer occurs, and requirements in workspaces are generated exactly as they were in the original request.

Estimated Work values differ between workspace and custom views
This release fixes a discrepancy between the Estimated Work value displayed on the Project Dashboard and the one displayed in custom views that include Estimated Work. Now, Estimated Work values in custom views will match the values displayed in the actual workspace.
