PPM Enhancements for December 20, 2019

We are deploying the following enhancements to Daptiv PPM on Friday, December 20, 2019. This post is designed to help you understand how new and enhanced features can improve your PPM experience, and to guide you in making decisions about how to configure those features (if applicable). To facilitate training and testing ahead of this release, the features below will be deployed in Sandbox environments on Monday, December 16, 2019. During this release, Daptiv PPM will be unavailable for a short period. The next Daptiv PPM Release is January 3, 2020.

For detailed information about these and all PPM Features, see the PPM Online Help

New Enhancements

Profile and status fields split in workspace creation wizards
In this release, we split the profile and status fields into separate sections in the workspace creation wizards. Rather than presenting all workspace fields in a single group, this change lets users which fields should be completed immediately (profile) and which can be updated later (status).

Notable Fixes

Errors using custom view filters
This release fixes errors that were occurring when certain filters were applied to custom views. Errors would occur if either of the following conditions were met:

  • Created On – If a user attempted to edit a view with a Created On filter that includes the On or On or before operators, an error screen appears. The same thing would happen if they attempted to delete the view.
  • Member fields – If a user creates a custom view and includes a Member field filter set to include their name, an error screen appears when they open the view. This may completely block access to the application if the view they created is set as their default.

These errors no longer occur and users can set Created On and Member filters normally.

Submit button on Timesheets does not work on first click
The Submit button did not work on the first click when an enterprise had selected None or Automatic for their timesheet policy. This issue only occurred for Google Chrome users. Firefox and Internet Explorer users, and Enterprises using a Manual timesheet policy were not affected. This issue no longer occurs and all users can submit their timesheets with a single click.

Resource Plan filter shows results that do not match
When users typed a name into the Resource Plan, some results that did not match what they typed would still be displayed. Matching results could still be found because they were highlighted, but users may have found the inconsistency confusing. Now, users filtering by a specific name will only see results that match the name they entered.
