PPM Enhancements for April 9, 2021

We are deploying the following enhancements to Changepoint PPM on Friday, April 9, 2021. This post is designed to help you understand how new and enhanced features can improve your PPM experience, and to guide you in making decisions about how to configure those features (if applicable). To facilitate training and testing ahead of this release, the features below will be deployed in Sandbox environments on Monday, April 5, 2021. The next Changepoint PPM Release is April 23, 2021.

For detailed information about these and all PPM Features, see the PPM Online Help.

In addition to the fix below, this release contains various background improvements that lay the groundwork for future enhancements. They should not have an impact on your current Changepoint PPM experience.

Notable PPM Fixes

Unable to use bulk edit workspaces with Swiss currency setting
In enterprises where the currency was set to Swiss Francs, users were not able to bulk edit workspaces. This release resolves this issue and all users can bulk edit workspaces regardless of their enterprise’s currency setting.

Bulk editing field values does not trigger recalculations
We fixed an issue where changes to workspace fields made during a bulk edit did not trigger recalculations in the calculated fields dependent on those fields. This may have caused some calculated fields to display inaccurate data until the calculated field itself was edited or individual edits were made to each workspace. This issue no longer occurs and bulk editing triggers automatic recalculations in calculated fields.

Duplicate workspaces after bulk import
This release also fixes a bug that caused the creation of duplicate workspaces during bulk import. This issue occurred when the import could not be completed before a time out was triggered. The system would re-attempt the import, which caused the duplicated workspaces. Now, bulk workspace imports process in the background once they are triggered, allowing the import to take as much time as it needs while also letting users to move on to other tasks in PPM.
