What are the expected behaviors for existing items if you create new project or application fields?

If you create new project or application fields, there are certain behaviors to note

-New fields do exist on old projects, but do not contain data.

-This is true even if you set a default value for the new field; it will not automatically propagate through all the old projects.

-New fields also will show up on Archived projects.

-If you add new fields and set them as required, you may need to find placeholder values to select or enter if your older projects don't have/need this information.
