Why cannot I delete a project type?

Your ability to delete a project type depends on whether or not there are any of the following associated with the type :Projects:

You cannot delete a project type if there are existing projects (active or archived) associated with the project type you are trying to delete.

Note: A deleted project may take up to a day to be entirely deleted. If you are unable to delete a project type because an associated project was recently deleted, try to delete the project type again in 24 hours.

Templates: You cannot delete a project type if there are templates associated with the project type you are trying to delete.Project

Requests: You cannot delete a project type if there are existing project requests associated with the project type you are trying to delete.

Project Request Type: You cannot delete a project type if there are project request types associated with the project type you are trying to delete.

Project Custom Fields: You may find that you are unable to delete a project type if it is using a custom project field for the enterprise. Or, similarly, a custom field such as an aggregation field may be associated to Projects of specific Project Types.
