Managing licenses

There are different license types that can be assigned to users in the organization. The license types control the user's access to the various AdaptiveWork modules.

License Type Descriptions
Full Users
Full users have access to the full work lifecycle, as well as access to create and view reports.
With ‘Enhanced Permissions’ enabled, organizations can also control access of Full Users, restricting them only to projects where they have a role, providing another layer of access permissions for large organizations with stricter confidentiality requirements.
Team Member
Team Members can see the specific tasks assigned to them, rather than the whole Project workplan. Team Members are centered around tasks, working day to day on completing tasks, collaborating with files & discussions, and reporting timesheets.
Time & Expense
The Time & Expense user type is only available under existing contracts and will be deprecated in the future to avoid overlap with Team Member users.
Requestor (formerly: Social)
Requestor users can sign into AdaptiveWork with a username and password.
They can work on cases and to-do tasks, as well as participate in discussions within the Groups they belong to. They can have joint workspaces where they can share files, notes, discussions and even see the AdaptiveWork widgets (Roadmap, Gantt).
Requestor users can also submit Custom Action items, i.e. submit forms that trigger workflows, such as submitting a helpdesk ticket, PTO, project, change request, etc.
Customers that need a joint, secure, workspace where they can share ideas, submit requests, and work jointly with other team members, rather than rely on emails and attachments residing in individual email inboxes or computers typically use this user type.
This license may also be used by members of other departments who are not project/task-centric but occasionally need to collaborate with licensed AdaptiveWork users and provide input into the shared knowledge base.

None
AdaptiveWork lets you add users without a license (None in the license type picker). These users can be added as placeholders in the planning stages, before they get a permanent license.
These users cannot log in to AdaptiveWork, and cannot update work, however they can be added to Projects, and their planned hours will be calculated in the work plan. In addition, they can interact with AdaptiveWork via email.
Access to Modules by License Type
The license types and the different modules or areas that they provide access to are outlined in the following table. In some cases, the access is provided only to the listed license types, which have special permissions.
