What are User placeholder states?
In the following table are the different state you’ll see on your User placeholder List.

The User placeholder is active and available in the org. |

Inactive |
The User placeholder has been deleted. Deleting User placeholders from AdaptiveWork removes the items from the pool of available resources, maintains all assignments, yet displays the deleted user placeholders' name with ‘strikethrough’ everywhere it appears in AdaptiveWork. |
