Planview Roadmaps is finally here. Portfolio Managers and Executives can now create and manage roadmaps within the Planview Roadmaps application using core AdaptiveWork entities, e.g. Portfolios, Programs, Projects and Milestones.

This enhancement provides an interactive visualization tool to review, assess and communicate strategic plans.

Anvi Chat
Anvi side panel now docks, not floats

Anvi now opens as a docked side panel that pushes and condenses the main screen, instead of floating on top of it. This replaces the old pop-up behavior, which covered part of the application and forced users to close the panel — ending their Anvi session — just to interact with the screen underneath.

The side panel comes along with the new app switcher & new top navigation bar.

Consult your Account Executive or Customer Value Advisor for enablement.

App Switcher & New Top Navigation Bar

As part of AdaptiveWork modernization, we have released an updated top navigation bar built on the Planview Design System (PVDS) that provides:

  1. Enhanced Accessibility – WCAG 2.1 Level AA components
  2. Modern React Architecture – Improved performance and consistency
  3. Unified Experience – Consistent design across all Planview products with reduced integration friction

The app switcher becomes available alongside the new top navigation bar and docked Anvi side panel and allows users to navigate between different Planview application seamlessly.

Important Changes & Notes

  1. Logo update required: The new navigation bar uses a dark background instead of a lighter version used elsewhere in the product. As a result, your logo may need to be updated to remain visually consistent. We are working on providing an option to support logos for both light and dark backgrounds so that branding remains consistent across the experience. Please stay tuned — we will notify you as soon as this functionality becomes available. Thank you for your patience.
  2. Removed functionalities: Based on usage patterns, we've eliminated the Alerts and Activities. Stopwatch has been removed temporarily and will be available again in an upcoming release. If you use these functionalities, please reach out so we can assess your use case.
  3. Language support: Currently supports English, Spanish, French, and German. If you use other languages, please reach out so we can assist you.

Please Note: The new navigation bar follows Planview Design System (PVDS) standards and does not support custom CSS modifications such as color or font changes.

Reach out to your Account Executive or Customer Value Advisor to enable it in your environment.

New Theme for Details Pages

We have improved the look and feel of various modules' Details page, i.e., Project. Task, etc., by updating the color scheme, fonts, and spacing of detail pages. This promotes legibility and readability, along with making the UI look more modern.

Consult your Account Executive or Customer Value Advisor for enablement.

Google Docs
Upload from Google Docs temporarily unavailable

Due to a recent Google change, uploading files directly from Google Docs in AdaptiveWork is temporarily unavailable. We're working on a fix. In the meantime, you can upload files from your computer, Box, or SharePoint. We'll update you once resolved — thank you for your patience.

Security
Switching from TLS1.2 to TLS1.3

TLS1.2 will be removed from the list of supported encryption protocols.

This change will require the verification that any custom integrations (via APU using REST API or integration software) support TLS1.3.

These are updated timelines:

  • Sandbox - July 31st, 2026
  • Production - August 31st, 2026
Deprecation of AD Sync

As part of our upgrade to TLS 1.3, AD Sync integration will be discontinued. Sandbox environments will be affected from July 31, and Production from August 31. If your organization currently uses AD Sync, we recommend migrating to SCIM ahead of these dates to avoid any disruption to user provisioning.
