Project Status Widget
The Project Status widget provides a portfolio-level view of project health and status. It displays key attributes for all projects in a selected portfolio, helping managers and stakeholders quickly identify which projects require attention.
Who Is This For?
• Executives and Business Stakeholders
• Program and Portfolio Managers
• Strategy Portfolio Managers
• Project Managers
What You Can See
The widget displays projects from a single configured portfolio. The default set of attributes shown includes:
• Project Name (clickable link to the project details page)
• Project State
• Status
• Start Date and Due Date
• Actual Start Date and Actual End Date
• Percent Complete
The widget can be configured to display up to 10 attributes in addition to the project name, selecting from any available project attributes the user has access to in AdaptiveWork. Attributes are displayed in the configured default order, and columns can be resized and reordered directly in the widget.
NOTE
The widget can be added to a board more than once — for example, to show two different portfolios side by side.
What You Can Do
Users can:
- Select which portfolio is displayed using the portfolio selection button in the widget header.
- Navigate to the full portfolio details page via a link in the widget footer.
- Click on a project name to open the project details page, with full support for right-click and Ctrl+Click to open in a new tab.
NOTE
All field validations and business rules that apply in AdaptiveWork are enforced in the widget. Users can only view and edit fields for which they have the appropriate grants.
Configuring the Widget
Administrators and permitted users can configure the widget by:
• Adding new columns by selecting any project attribute from a dropdown.
• Removing columns that are not needed.
• Reordering columns to set the default display order.
Data in the widget is formatted consistently with how it appears in the Portfolio View in AdaptiveWork — including date formats, effort, duration, numerical precision, and currency.
